We start our selection of where to travel in February in the sun with a destination we love. How about heading to Andalusia, Spain? This region, known as one of the hottest in Iberia, is a must-see. If you’ve never been to Seville, Granada, Cordoba or Málaga before, you’ll love Andalusia! For us, February is the ideal period if you want to enjoy your vacation in Andalusia without the summer heat (up to 40° in the shade in places!). It’s also an ideal destination if you’re traveling with your family. For us, Andalusia is one of the best choices if you want to spend February in the sun without having to travel too far or break your piggy bank. 2. Tenerife, Canary Islands

We’re continuing with Spain, but this time we’re heading for the Canary Islands with the largest of them all, Tenerife. If you’re looking for a place to go in February and want to discover a multi-faceted island, Tenerife is an excellent choice. We loved discovering this island, with its many coves, small villages and its dormant volcano, Le Teide. In fact, it’s the highest mountain in Spain. Tenerife also boasts numerous white and black sand beaches. So you can enjoy your February vacation in the sun! It takes just under 4 hours to fly from Paris to the island. 3. Lanzarote, Canary Islands

It’s impossible to recommend Tenerife without mentioning another Canary Island, Lanzarote. Lanzarote is just 1 hour’s flight from Tenerife and is our favorite of the Canary Islands. If you’re looking for a change of scenery in February, Lanzarote is the place to go. Not only does Lanzarote boast a great year-round climate, allowing us to take full advantage of it in winter, it also boasts a breathtaking lunar landscape. As bloggers, we have the opportunity to travel there regularly, and Lanzarote’s landscapes have not left us indifferent. 4. Egypt

We continue this selection with a destination that is often debated by travelers about safety, Egypt. For some time now, we’ve been hearing good things from fellow travelers who are heading to Egypt to discover this magnificent country, and we’re planning to get there soon. We’ll leave it to you to decide whether you feel comfortable enough to set off and discover this country. Egypt is 4h30 from Paris, which makes the famous Pyramids, one of the 7 wonders of the world, accessible. The best time to visit Egypt is between November and March. 5. Where to travel in February in the sun? Head for Oman fifth destination in this selection

We’re already halfway through our guide to where to go in February in the sun! So we’re now entering the more distant destinations. In our opinion, a minimum of 10 days is needed to discover these destinations. So if you’ve only got a week to spare, we suggest you concentrate on our first 4 ideas for trips in February. Located 7 hours’ flight from Paris, the Sultanate of Oman is perfect to discover at this time of year, when temperatures are more bearable than in summer. The country boasts breathtaking scenery (mountains, deserts and canyons) and an authentic atmosphere. The feedback from travelers is often unanimous and very positive about this destination, so we can’t recommend it highly enough, especially for a sunny vacation in February.

6. Martinique

7. Guadeloupe

It’s impossible not to mention Guadeloupe in this guide to where to travel in February! After a successful trip last year to Martinique, we decided to discover Guadeloupe this year in February. We’ll be back here very soon to flesh out this section once our trip is over. One thing’s for sure: it’s going to be a great trip! Like Martinique, Guadeloupe enjoys a perfect climate at this time of year, also known as the dry season. Guadeloupe is known for being a little wilder than Martinique, so we can’t wait to get there. 8. Florida

You’re looking for where to go in February and the USA is a country that tempts you? Take the opportunity to visit one of the most pleasant American states at this time of year, Florida on the country’s east coast. The ideal time to discover Florida is from December to March. If you’re looking for ideas for February, you’ll be delighted with the average 26 degrees. It’s also the time of year when you’re unlikely to run into a tropical cyclone. As a reminder, hurricane and tropical storm season in Florida runs between June and November, so this period is best avoided as much as possible.

If there’s ever a time to discover Mexico, it’s February! This destination is becoming increasingly popular, and it’s easy to see why. Mexico is 4 times the size of France. So you’ll need to allow plenty of time to make the most of it. The country’s most touristic region is Yucatàn, so your first trip will undoubtedly start here. You’ll have the opportunity to discover the magnificent Mayan temple of Chichen Itza at first hand. For diving enthusiasts, don’t miss the world’s largest underwater museum in Cancùn, not far from Yucatàn. Lush nature, Mayan temples, cenotes… Mexico has so much to offer!

10. Where to travel in February in the sun? Head for Thailand, the latest idea for your holiday

It’s time to end this selection with the farthest destination in this top, Thailand. Thailand is also an ideal destination if you’re looking for where to go in February in the sun. The dry season runs from December to February, with temperatures averaging 33°. If you want to go to Thailand in the sun, avoid the monsoon period located between May and October.

Thailand is a beautiful country with several paradise islands, temples as well as excellent and affordable Thai cuisine.
